Six Week Introductory Training in Mindfulness
We will explore the foundations, principles and practices of mindfulness meditation. You will comprehend what mindfulness is and how to develop it in your meditation practice and daily life. In addition to discovering how mindfulness supports the cultivation of wisdom, insight and living with an objective and compassionate outlook, you will learn a variety of mindfulness meditations and establish practical ways of integrating mindfulness into your daily activities and relationships.
In this course you will learn to: Develop awareness of breath, body, feelings and thoughts through training in mindfulness meditation Cultivate a quality of embodied awareness wherever you are. Recognize and learn how to let go of unhelpful habitual thoughts and mind states. Explore, understand and work with a range of emotional experience. Develop a kind, caring attitude toward oneself, others and the world.
